Updated 24-Aug-2026

Hans G0UPL: I get a lot of questions about order shipment status. It takes many hours every day to answer these. I have a lot of other urgent work to do too. Therefore I am now updating this page with current status information which could be the cause of a delayed shipment. If I have directed you to this page, please check which of the categories applies to one or more of the items in your order.

GENERAL NOTES:

  • On placing an order, your payment is taken at that time. That's because as a small business, we cannot process credit card transactions ourselves (or more accurately, are not allowed to store your credit card information) and rely on a third party provider which takes payment right away.
  • Your initial order status will be "Complete", it means your order was paid and placed and is in the database; you will receive a confirmation email, and there is no need to reply to it.
  • When shipped, it will change to "Shipped" and you will be emailed a tracking number if applicable.
  • If you do NOT receive these emails, it could be due to a mis-spelt email address on the order form but more likely is your ISP blocking the QRP Labs shop email altogether as suspected spam, or putting it in your spam folder.
  • If your order has not been shipped within 1 business day then it probably falls into one of the following categories.

US Tariffs

Update 05-Sep-2025: US removed the $800 de minimis limit on all imports on 29-Aug-2025 and henceforth every shipment to US is theoretically liable to import customs taxes. Some countries suspended post office shipments to US because they do not have sufficient resources or procedures in place to handle this administrative burden. QRP Labs does NOT use post office shipments, we use only FedEx (Except for Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Turkey). So shipments to US are operating as usual. As at 05-Sep-2025 we heard of several US customers who paid taxes on their package, to date around $25 +/- $5 seems to be expected for a typical QRP Labs purchase.

QMX and QMX+ kits

Update 24-Aug-2026: I started manufacturing a new batch of 1000 QMX and 1000 QMX+ even before Dayton in May 2026. Everything has been ready for months, except the final missing component: LT6231 op-amps. It has been extremely difficult to purchase these LT6231 op-amps due to inability to satisfy Analog Devices' Regulator/Compliance department. Analog have also caused QRP Labs to be blacklisted at Mouser. Despite the difficulties, I was finally able to obtain 4,000 LT6231 from 4 different orders in 3 different countries. As of now we are collecting these at the SMD assembly facility and then the QMX/QMX+ boards will finally be able to be assembled. Due to this, the estimated shipment of QMX/QMX+ kits ordered now is 2nd Half September.

U4B balloon tracker modules

Update 24-Aug-2026: There is an issue awaiting investigation. The current batch of U4B appears to not calibrate the TCXO frequency properly, leading to transmit frequencies being off by several kHz. This can be overcome by a single line in BASIC
LET FR = 25000000
This sets the reference frequency to 25MHz. Without calibration the transmit frequency will likely be a few Hz off but typically less than 3Hz of error, even without the calibration. It basically forces the reference frequency setting to 25 MHz rather than what is calibrated.
So we have plenty of stock of U4B but shipping has been temporarily suspended until this issue can be investigated and resolved. If you are OK to add the line of basic above, as a workaround, we can ship your U4B order immediately; please write to the Helpdesk to request this.

QCX-mini kits

Update 24-Aug-2026: QCX-mini kit stock is quite low and we are awaiting the manufacturing of the next batch. We DO have some stock but the boards have not passed our test procedure which was documented in this video https://youtu.be/xb_ZmPx7Py4?si=q4sfMIW2NS-K9eAY and the reasons require further investigation; it may be that the test jig is > 5 years old now and started having issues, or the test pass tolerances may be too tight. So until that can be resolved and we are sure we are able to ship perfect working QCX-mini kits, or until the new batch arrive, QCX-mini kit shipping is suspended also... expect shipping resumption estimated second half September when the new kit batch arrives.

Assembled unit:

If you have ordered an assembled QMX, QDX, QCX-mini and QCX+, please be aware that these are built-to-order and there is a waiting time while we work through the orders. The list is updated most days and is on this page: https://www.qrp-labs.com/qcxmini/assembled.html . You would have been notified of this at the time of placing your order and acknowledged it.

All other kits...

...are shipping without delay, within 1 business day normally.
