Day 14 update, 03-Oct-2017

Apologies for the lack of updates. I was traveling to the UK National Hamfest. In summary, U3B-9 managed finally to escape the US and caught a nice jetstream across the Atlantic, passed down through Western Europe and is now in North Africa (Algeria). According to the weather prediction we should see it pick up speed and head rapidly East in the next few days.

Day 7 update, 26-Sep-2017

A peaceful day cruising around in Georgia, US. See the NOAA projection below - will U3B-9 finally say goodbye US and head out to the Atlantic soon?

Day 6 update, 25-Sep-2017

The red and blue lines in the NOAA projection (click thumbnail below) are for starting altitudes only 200m apart but show highly divergent paths. So where U3B-9 goes next is anyone's guess.

Day 1 update, 20-Sep-2017

Flight U3B-9 was launched from Parry Sound at around 1430Z on 20-Sep-2017. There was a possibility to catch a fast Easterly jetstream wind, if the launch was done early enough. But low-level cloud prevented an early enough launch; consequently U3B-9 missed the fast jetstream and has taken a much slower path South-East. The NOAA projection expects -9 to travel slowly South over US for the next few days.
